Biography
Vana Nazarian has been a municipal councilor for the City of Montreal since 2021 and was re-elected in 2025. She sits on the executive committee as an interim member, responsible for international outreach and attractiveness and associated with economic development, where she contributes to Montreal’s strategic positioning on the local and international scene. A mother of three, she embodies committed, accessible leadership that is deeply rooted in balancing public responsibilities and family life.
Known for her pragmatic approach, she has nearly ten years of experience in municipal and provincial political offices. She chairs the Commission on Water, Environment, Sustainable Development, and Large Parks and also sits on the CMM’s Sustainable Mobility Commission. She is a member of the Audit Committee, the Major Projects Coordination Committee, and the Saint-Laurent Urban Planning Advisory Committee. She was recently appointed to the board of directors of Vanier CEGEP. With a background in economic development and international relations, Vana Nazarian works closely with institutional, community, and economic stakeholders to enhance Montréal’s attractiveness, stimulate innovation, support foreign investment, and build bridges between the city and international markets.
